We have an exciting opportunity for you Our secondary school in Greenwich is currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team.

In this role, you will support students with their learning and development, using your expertise inBritish Sign Language to enhance their education.

This is a temp-to-perm position, offering the chance for a long-term role at the school.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, hard-working, and committed to providing an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to teachers in the classroom, helping to deliver lessons and assist students with their learning.
  • Supporting individual students with their learning, including those who require additional support due to disabilities or learning difficulties.
  • Using your knowledge of British Sign Language to facilitate communication between deaf students and their peers.
  • Supporting the development of students' social and emotional skills, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • A minimum Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language.
  • Experience working in a secondary school setting as a Teaching Assistant (not essential).
  • A passion for education and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
