BTG is currently working with a fast-growing manufacturing business, this is a true Cost Accountant role that will present an opportunity to work closely with the factory leadership team.

The group performance has remained strong since the pandemic, this rolehas been created and has the green light now to highlight factory inefficiencies and to drill down on factory variances.

The Role

Your new role as the Cost Accountant will see you taking ownership of the entire business unit and its management reporting, with a focus on factory performance, materials variances, standard costing & BOM's.


Duties will include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing the Bill of Materials (BOM) to determine the cost of producing a product or service.
  • Monitoring and analyzing inventory levels and making recommendations for adjustments to inventory levels.
  • Conducting budgeting and budget analysis to determine if the company's budget is on track or if adjustments need to be made.
  • Collaborating with operational people such as production managers to identify costsaving opportunities and optimize production processes.
  • Preparing financial reports and analyses for management and other stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing cost accounting policies and procedures.
  • Conducting variance analysis to identify and explain deviations from expected costs and revenue.
  • Utilizing SAP or other software to manage financial data and create reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Participating in the development of pricing strategies and making pricing recommendations based on cost analysis.
