Business Development Executive

Hours:
Monday - Friday day shift

Salary:
Up to £45,000 dependant on experience

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and proactive salesperson, with minimum 2 years experience in a sales role, for an industry leading Metal stockholder and distributer based in Tamworth.

This is a hybrid role which will include both an office based sales role as well as on the road visiting customers.

The main purpose of the role is to drive sales and generate new business, specialising in Stainless Steel supply to UK Stockholders and end-users.

Key Duties of the Business Development Executive

  • To exceed the company order volumes & revenue targets that are set, ranging from (but not limited to) new inbound leads, self-generated outbound opportunities
  • To proactively encourage and maintain a positive, vibrant and professional environment across all teams.
  • Develop relationships with existing and new customers; learning how best to service their accounts
  • Manage inbound contacts and outbound telephone and TEAMS appointment, with a focus on maximising conversion rates from contact through to sales.
  • Attend Client sites to attend sales meetings
  • Attend exhibitions in the UK if required
Key Requirements of the Business Development Executive

  • High energy and productivity
* 2 years previous sales experience within metal/manufacturing environment

  • Experience within the metals industry or with Stainless Steel sheet & coil specifically is preferred
  • Ability to travel in and around the UK
  • Ability to articulate technical or complex issues clearly.
