This is a good opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain experience within quarry operations, the role is hands on from the start and will provide knowledge and experience in a production environment with opportunities for training and to acquire further qualifications.


To ensure the efficient operation of the site operations in terms of the Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality and service through the successful and effective supervision of the Unit.

Seek to improve the efficiencies and existing performance levels.

Control activities to the highest possible standard, maintaining a high level of supervision always.

Key Responsibilities
The main activity of the role involves leading and supervising the operational team to achieve its performance objectives.

  • Health and Safety: Operating to the highest level of health and safety objectives.
  • Environmental: Operating in line with both company and regulator requirements.
  • Sustainability: To identify, develop and implement improvements to the sustainability of the site
  • Plant Operations: To ensure maximum plant availability by good maintenance program being achieved.
  • Directing: Provide leadership to the site teams, ensuring that operational goals and expectations are understood, and personnel are proactively developed.
  • A good general education standard as there is a large amount of Quarry Regulation requirements to be fully understood and adhered to.
  • Applicants should be reliable & have an organized but flexible approach.

Education/Qualification

Essential

  • Numerate / literate
  • Safety Awareness Training ideal
  • Good general working knowledge of Mobile plant, products, and customer requirements
  • Clean driving license
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial environment
  • Level 4 SHE NVQ in quarry operations not essential
  • Computer literacy
  • Loading Shovel Ticket preferred
