Specialist Accounting Operations - Witham

A great opportunity at Marsh & McLennan Companies for a Specialist Accounting Operations to join our business and support the continued growth of our Global Intercompany Accounting Operations team.

Based in Witham, Essex, but part of a global team, the support this position provides will be vital in maintaining and developing the track record of success MMC has in ensuring all month-end and quarter-end deliverables are met.

We will count on you to:

  • Produce and maintain daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports used to direct focus and manage the Intercompany positions
  • Carry out Balance Sheet exception reporting and perform checks prior to issuing
  • Preparation and review of quarterly reporting schedules for Intercompany and Dividends
  • Complete review and sign off of reconciliations assigned
  • Ensure all monthend and quarterend deliverables are met
  • To play a lead role in the continuous improvement of business processes and expansion of our global processes.
  • Maintain the team's working files, including formulas, macros and PowerBi dashboards.
  • Record and monitor new tasks through change control process
  • Assist with other adhoc tasks, projects and initiatives as required
  • Assist Internal and External auditors as directed.
  • Journal review and approvals for Global team requests
  • Stakeholder engagement with onshore and offshore teams globally, including senior management, controllership, tax and treasury

What you need to have:

  • Advanced Excel particularly experience of working with Macros including VBA
  • Highly developed numerical and analytical skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with both clients and colleagues within a fast moving professional team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
