Customer&Logistics Manager

This Team is responsible for the import and export of BA's aircraft, aircraft materials and aircraft related tooling and equipment across international borders.

The UK's exit from the EU has resulted in our UK customs declarations being at an all-time high, making the Team's role in our supply chain more critical than ever.

In addition to import customs, you will be responsible for ensuring BA's compliance with export controls, including international sanctions.

The team is also responsible for arranging both our scheduled and ad-hoc UK road haulage movements, which supply material to BA engineering's facilities around the UK.

The successful candidate will have a track record of delivery in an area where compliance is paramount and will be comfortable working with bodies such as HMRC.

Ensure goods cross international boarders with the absolute minimum of disruption, ensuring engineering supply chain are able to meet the requirements of the Airline.

Ensure logistics suppliers are pro-actively and effectively managed.
Provide support & advice to the business with regards to import & export compliance and cost efficiency.

Manage BA Engineering's UK Road haulage provider, including working with stakeholder areas to define trucking requirements and cost-effective means of delivery these.

Knowledge of UK, EU & International Trade Regulations governing the import & export of aircraft parts & associated maintenance materials, equipment and tools
