Environmental Coordinator Greenford, London, will be responsible for leading our environmental initiatives and driving sustainable practices across the organization. You will drive change throughout the organisation by inspiring and influencing others to get behind all our efforts to drive a business for good. Reporting to the Sustainability & Foundation Manager.

Belazu has been a pioneer of supplying high quality, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Ingredients within the UK's Foodservice for over 30 years.

The Role:
In this full-time role as the Environmental Coordinator, you will be working to implement an environmental and social culture by engaging and collaborating with the different teams.
Data focused and analytical, you can work independently to hit objectives on carbon reduction, working towards our Net Zero strategy.
Environmental Coordinator key accountabilities and responsibilities:
Environmental Impact Strategy: Take charge of the "Our Journey Matters" planet pillar, focusing on energy, transport, recycling, food waste, packaging, and supplier data analysis to execute our environmental impact strategy.
Carbon Footprint Management: Calculate and track Belazu's carbon footprint scope 1-2-3, working towards achieving science-based targets.

Data Collection and Tracking: Collaborate with various departments to collect and monitor data related to recycling, food waste, energy, transport, and carbon on a monthly basis.

Project Management: Manage and implement projects throughout the organization to reduce our carbon, water, energy, waste, and food waste footprint.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with environmental sustainability committees to ensure alignment and collaboration across the business, and influence key stakeholders

B Corp Recertification: Assist in the recertification process, taking ownership of the environmental pillar.

Food Waste Reduction: Ensure no edible food goes to waste by coordinating efforts with production, NPD, QA, Warehouse, and external partners.

Interdepartmental Communication: Foster effective communication with all key departments within the company.

Awareness Promotion: Promote and raise awareness across the organization about the impact of emerging environmental issues.

Health & Safety, Company Values: Contribute to the Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Socio-Environmental Belazu values, working towards achieving company-wide objectives communicated regularly.

Terms
- 40 hrs/wk i.e. 9am5.30pm Mon-Fri (start and finish times flexible) with a 3 day/week office; 2 day/week WFH hybrid working model.
- Probationary period 3 months
- 10% KPI related bonus based around challenging but achievable tasks related to the role
