My client is a looking for an experienced Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising fleet operations, ensuring maximum efficiency and compliance with legal standards. You will work closely with the operations team and drivers to maintain smooth and effective transport services.

The Transport Planners Responsibilities:
  • Daily Planning: Take charge of day-to-day planning, maximising vehicle utilisation by identifying synergies and optimising efficiency and productivity.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure the transport operation runs safely, in line with the Working Time Directive and EU regulations.
  • Fleet Management: Schedule fleet for PMI, LOLER service, and MOT, ensuring timely record management.
  • Coordination: Arrange external transport and services for successful lift/project completion within budget.
  • Order Management: Ensure client orders are received prior to placing any orders or confirming resource needs.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with third-party hauliers for seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery.
  • Driver Management: Ensure drivers are motivated and well instructed, maintaining high morale and operational standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback on any omissions and/or additions to the original schedule of works or supply, ensuring continuous improvement in operations.
The Transport Planners Required Skills:
  • Experience within a transport planner or similar role
  • Industry Knowledge
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Motivated and energetic personality.
