Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Senior Design Manager on a Permanent and full-time basis at our Westminster Bridge Road office.

As a Senior Design Manager, you will be a passionate advocate for high quality design.

As a proactive co-driver to the Project Lead you will lead the design responsibility for a portfolio of projects, from inception to use.

You will take a holistic view to design, bringing to together strategic and qualitative ambitions with technical requirements to ensure our homes are safe, sustainable, inclusive, desirable and viable.

Uphold Peabody's ethos of quality, longevity and customer-centric homes and neighbourhoods through the delivery of high-quality design.

  • Take ownership and provide direction for the Project Lead and broader team in brief writing and procuring, appointing and managing external professional consultants and contractors to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide design direction, working closely with Project Leads to balance competing priorities, drive value and deliver quality across RIBA stages.
  • Identify and manage risk in the design, planning, tendering, procurement, contract formation and change control of schemes and projects.
  • Ensure adherence to Peabody's design standards and procedures and manage the change control process.
  • Manage and coordinate project specific all of Peabody's design review forums and governance gateways.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to evolve our ways of working at both a project and programme level.
A minimum of 1 to 2 days working in the Westminster Bridge Road office is required.
