Business Development Lead - Drug Delivery

An innovative technology company is looking for a Business Development Lead to help expand their client base in the field of drug delivery medical devices. As the Business Development Lead, you'll collaborate with ambitious companies globally, working on projects that are revolutionizing the healthcare industry by turning groundbreaking ideas into real-life solutions.

Given the diverse nature of the company and the position, this role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a solid technical background who may have started as an engineer or scientist and transitioned into business development. Drawing on your expertise, you'll engage with clients' technical teams and leverage your business acumen to forge meaningful relationships with all project stakeholders.

The company fosters a highly collaborative environment with a flat structure, offering the successful candidate the chance to not only contribute to developing and selling cutting-edge products but also participate in shaping the company's strategic direction.

To excel in this role, you should have a profound understanding of the health tech market, particularly in drug delivery or similar medical devices. As the Business Development Lead, you'll be on the lookout for new business prospects, exploring untapped markets, and devising innovative solutions to address clients' needs. Experience as a Technical Project Leader or in consultancy would be a significant advantage.

The ideal Business Development Lead will possess:

  • A genuine passion for innovative medical device technology, especially in the realm of drug delivery and related devices.
  • Solid academic background in Engineering (electronic, mechanical, or software) or related scientific fields.
  • Recent, relevant sales experience in the medical device sector, with a network of potential clients being a valuable asset.
  • The ability to effectively communicate your capacity to identify new business opportunities, explore emerging markets, and solve technical challenges to meet clients' unmet requirements.
  • Preferably, some project management skills, including resource planning for specific development tasks to fulfill clients' necessities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to meet clients, participate in global conferences, trade shows, etc.
