Job overview

We are looking for a full time Band 3 Service Administrator to join our Dental Outpatients Team at Barts Health NHS Trust the successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to lead and support the junior members of the team.

You will become part of our busy team and strive to ensure our patients receive the best possible service from the Trust. With good interpersonal skills and the ability to respond sympathetically to queries and direct people appropriately, you will possess good administrative and organisational skills and be computer literate. We are looking for enthusiastic, professional, and well organised individuals to join our busy and friendly team. Applicants must be willing to work flexibly to cover holidays and have good written and verbal communication skills.

Main duties of the job

The clinic administrator role is responsible for providing a patient focused, effective and efficient service to our patients & their carer's, clinical teams and CAG managers. Main duties will include cancelling and rescheduling of clinics due to clinical leave, short notice cancellations, assisting the management with the Dental Inbox, and providing administration support when required.

Working in adherence to the Trust Access Policy, Governance and local Standard Operating Procedures at all times, the post holder will liaise with a number of key stakeholders to ensure the Outpatient booking process is efficient and fit for purpose, and that patients are able to access our services and receive expert clinical care
