At Bay Photonics we specialise in prototyping and low-medium volume assembly of photonic and quantum device packaging that require a flexible and technically innovative approach.
Located in the Southwest of the UK, with our office in Paignton at the Electronics & Photonics Innovation Centre (EPIC), we are housed with other members of the Torbay Photonics Cluster ecosystem and together offer extended expertise and capability.
Role Overview
General Duties in a hi-technology environment:
- Assist in managing various social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, generating engaging content regarding Bay Photonics technology and news
- Monitor social media channels for engagement, responding to comments, message and enquiries
- Utilise creative tools and software to design graphics, edit images, and create multimedia content
- Update and maintain company website
- Create marketing documents such as leaflets, exhibition stands/posters
- Assist senior team members helping with admin requirements
- Use IT packages such as MS Office and other inhouse systems
- Producing accurate records and documents
- Adhoc admin duties as requested
Desired Experience/Skills
- Strong communication skills verbally and written, therefore a good knowledge of English is required
- Ability to manage own workload
- GCSE Grade 5 or equivalent in English and Maths
- Basic graphic design skills and proficiency in design software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop)
- Familiarity with social media platforms
