Cable Assembler based in Bolton.
IMMEDIATE STARTS AVAILABLE


This is an
IMMEDIATE START position for the right person who is required to work within a production team for a manufacturer of industrial electrical cable assemblies and PCB assembly.


You will be working on 12 weeks temporary to permanent contract with our client.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday 8.30am 5pm.
  • 40 Hours per week
  • No weekends.

Rate of pay:

- £10.50 per hour

Main Responsibilities:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Curiosity to work with a variety of different components and areas with the department.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Good hand eye coordination.
  • Basic Soldering skills.
  • You may be moved into different departments once fully trained, offering a variety of projects to work on.

Skills & Experience:

  • To build cable assemblies as requested.
  • PCB Assembly and populating circuit boards.
  • To be able to read and comprehend technical drawings.
  • Following all safety and quality standards.
  • Responsibility for the quality of your work.
  • Testing cable assemblies.
  • Reporting the status of each job / task to line manager if any potential problems arise.
  • Repair & solve issues related to assemblies.
  • Reworking of assemblies.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of workspace.

Operating automated tools & equipment such as:

  • Stripping machines.
  • Crimping machines.
  • Testing equipment.

Salary:
£10.50 per hour

Benefits:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bolton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Cable Assembling: 1 year (required)

  • Soldering: 1 year (required)
