OUR CLIENT
A very successful independent multi-branch property firm specialising in sales, lettings, property management and block management.

THE ROLE

Our client is looking to hire an enthusiastic, dynamic, and committed individual to help their successful & unique Block Management department in the position of Assistant Block Manager.

You will be working closely with 3 Senior Block Managers, gaining hands-onexperience and guidance in all things block management.

You will help the team in ensuring the department is organised, effective and runs smoothly, and that fantastic & long-lasting client relationships are built along the way.


Main duties:

  • Working alongside the Senior Block Managers to build solid client relationships with all leaseholders and freeholders, ensuring communication is fluid, easy and frequent.
  • Conduct regular property visits/inspections to ensure the buildings look as good as they can.
  • Manage contractors.
  • Attend AGMs for the buildings (alongside a Senior Block Manager) and take accurate minutes.
  • Respond to solicitors and clients quickly & efficiently.
  • Keep an eye on daytoday expenditure and work with the accounts team to ensure all service charge accounts are all correct and services are allocated correctly.
  • Assist the Senior Block Managers with ensuring all building are uptodate with the latest fire regulations, health & safety requirements Legionella etc.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Experience of working in a busy environment, working under pressure and sometimes having to have difficult conversations with clients.
  • Exceptional planning & organizational skills.
  • Is a strong team player and aims to make the unit stronger.
  • Is driven & committed to excelling at the job at hand.
  • Naturally inquisitive with an aptitude for problem solving.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office competently.

OTHER

  • This is a permanent position based in Kensington.
  • The hours of work are a mixture of 8:30am6pm, 9am6pm and 8:30am5:30pm across a Monday to Friday week.
  • This position pays a basic salary of between £28k£30k.
  • 20 days annual leave allowance, plus Bank Holidays and additional time for Christmas office closure.
  • The properties are within easy reach of the office so a full UK driving licence is not required.
