What will you be doing:


Working in close collaboration with the Strategy Manager, the Strategic Project Manager will be supporting the delivery of Corporate and Commercial strategic projects aligned to Veolia's Purpose of ecological transformation.


Manage key strategic projects to prepare the business for the complex changes that the government's Resource & Waste Strategy will bring as well as other legislations expected over the coming years.nWork with the Strategy Manager to ensure objectives of key projects are comprehensively understood and embedded by our Commercial teams and colleagues with full commitment from them to deliver upon these.nTake the lead on key projects and be responsible for delivering, defining and directing the teams and subject matter experts involved to ensure all project tasks are delivered efficiently and on time.nIdentify any key risks or barriers through communication with commercial teams, to the delivery of proposals and construct mitigations or solutions accordingly.nSupport with internal reporting through the generation of data and metrics to benchmark and measure performance and progress towards sustainability objectives and carbon reduction.nProvide project updates on a consistent basis to various senior stakeholders about strategy, adjustments and progress.nReport to the Commercial Strategy Manager on any critical changes in the market outlook, competitive landscape, internal and external business environment.nEnsure Customer Centricity is put at the forefront of each Project to ensure the Solutions proposed work for our Operations but also meet our Customers' needs.nPlan and anticipate operational resourcing demands linked to the delivery of the projects.nUnderstand impact of the Projects roll-outs on our Carbon emissions focusing on smart solutions to minimise impact and maximise efficienciesnThe role holder, using data, information collected from various stakeholders and financial scenarios, will be responsible to present and recommend the best options for a successful Project delivery.nAbility to anticipate the need for future activities, with short, medium and long term plans with timely project completion to ensure our solutions are future proof in an ever changing legislative landscape.

This will demand an extensive understanding of the associated legislation - current and future - and the ability to translate it to our operational working model.


What are we looking for:


Experience in managing multiple projects with several stakeholders.nExcellent communication skills with the ability to turn a vision into reality.nAbility to effectively manage internal and external relationships.nProven experience of change management.nEncourages innovation and readily identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and best practicenAbility to identify and navigate risks and barriers, and provide solutions or mitigations where required.nA project management qualification is desirable.
