Chesterfield, S41£110-£125Days: Monday - Friday, Term Time OnlySeptember Start
Role Purpose:
responsible for monitoring student attendance, identifying and addressing patterns of non-attendance, and working closely with students, parents, and staff to promote regular and punctual attendance
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and record student attendance, following up on absences and communicating with parents and carers as necessaryIdentify patterns of non-attendance and work with students and their families to address underlying issuesCollaborate with teaching and pastoral staff to support students with attendance and welfare concernsMaintain accurate records and produce reports on attendance and welfare issuesProvide guidance and support to students on welfare-related matters, signposting to relevant external agencies where necessaryContribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve attendance and promote student well-beingLiaise with external agencies and organizations to support students' welfare needs
Key Requirements:
Experience working in a similar role within an educational settingStrong understanding of attendance and welfare issues affecting young peopleExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staffAbility to maintain accurate records and produce reportsKnowledge of relevant legislation and guidance relating to attendance and welfareA caring and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for supporting the well-being of young peopleRelevant qualifications in education, social work, or a related field (desirable) If you feel you would be the right fit for this role, then please apply through submitting your CV.
