As the Lead IT Security Manager (Ops) at HS2, you will oversee the Security Operations pillar within the IT Security, Compliance & Identity function, focusing on Security technology and Security Operations Centre management. Your role involves utilizing business goals and security requirements to prioritize tasks for delivery teams, both internal and external.About the role:
  • Lead the Security Operations pillar, ensuring value delivery and risk reduction across various areas such as monitoring, incident response, threat management, and vulnerability management.
  • Establish and maintain Security Operations policy, standards, and procedures.
  • Manage security operations procedures, review security breaches, and lead incident responses.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and provide expertise on threat intelligence activities.
  • Coordinate vulnerability assessment activities and incident management procedures.
  • Oversee Security Operations risk management and day-to-day SOC activities.
  • Develop a multi-year Security roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Promote Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives in your work.
About You: Skills:
  • Strong Relationship Building skills.
  • Expertise in Security Operations and conducting investigations.
  • Thorough understanding of Threat Intelligence.
  • Proficiency in Vulnerability Assessment and Risk Management.
  • Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with IT Service Frameworks like ITIL v4 and Agile.
    • Understanding of SOC activities and technical security measures.
    Type of Experience:
    • Experience in leading IT service lifecycle and managing cyber incidents.
    • Collaboration with supplier teams and working across IT security domains.
    • Background in designing and implementing secure systems.
    • Experience in risk-based decision-making and system architectures.
