The Role

Your contribution will be vital in shaping both the long-term strategic vision and the day-to-day operational plansof the organisation. You'll assist in managing resources effectively and participate in evaluating andreporting on the outcomes of these plans.

Your responsibilities will extend to making strategic and operational decisions, ensuring effective implementationwith the appropriate resource. You'll play a key role in developing policies related to smoking, health, andwellbeing, taking the lead on some and supporting others as needed.

Another important aspect of the role involves cohesive communication within the organisation and across teams,helping to ensure that information flows smoothly and effectively. Additionally, you'll be engaging withexternal stakeholders, managing relationships and partnerships on behalf of ASH Scotland, whilst identifying anddeveloping opportunities to generate income and secure funding for the organisation.

We're looking for someone to take charge of developing and rolling out our search strategy. You'll need to be able towork independently and also work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to ensure good governanceand SEO best practice is followed.

As a Data Officer at Myeloma UK, you will be supporting the charity as we implement a brand-new data strategy. Youwill ensure our data is handled with the highest care, complying with best practice in data protection, and beinvolved in projects covering data management, data cleaning, reporting, and analysis.

Some of your varied responsibilities will include:


• Collaborate across the charity assessing our processing and help to manage communication preferences, data assets,including maintaining the Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) log.


• Support us in assessing new and existing data processing to ensure we follow privacy by design principles.


• Enhance data flows from multiple sources to our CRM, providing training and support to colleagues whereneeded.


• Contribute to the development and execution of a brand-new data strategy, improving our charity's data maturitythrough staff training and promoting best practice.
