Based in
Portsmouth, you will join them on a
full-time, permanent basis, and in return, the
Contracts Manager will receive a
competitive salary of £68,500 per annum + £5,200 Car Allowance and excellent benefits.

Key responsibilities as theContracts Manager will include:

  • Providing support to the Building Projects Director
  • Coordinating production of Pre-Construction information as directed by the Building Projects Director
  • Ensuring you and your site managers are operating in accordance with the Construction Management System (CMS). Carrying out regular checks of the filing systems to ensure compliance
  • Overseeing the operational delivery of contracts ensuring the client's objectives are met and that high standards of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality management are maintained
  • Ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times and you constantly reinforce safe working and company values
  • Appointing as necessary or taking and owning the project role of Temporary Works Coordinator
  • Leading the Site Managers, supporting them in the delivery of their roles
  • Managing contracts by invoking robust contract administration, programming, good commercial decision making and financial discipline
  • Ensuring relevant construction programmes are produced and maintained, including tender (where required), construction, target and weekly / monthly lookahead as required by the individual project.
  • Ensuring the establishment and management of an effective supply chain that meets the standards and governance set by the business
  • With the support of the Q.S, ensuring timely valuations and contractual procedures are met
  • Providing progress reports and updates to clients and the Executive with regard to the work the company are delivering for them
  • Ensuring your contracts are working efficiently, through the use of performance measures achieving the goals set out within the business plan
  • Identifying future clients and building relationships to help the company secure future work

What the company are looking for in their Contracts Manager:

  • Professional qualification (MCIOB) or Degree/HNC qualified
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid (3 day)
  • 5+ years in Construction Management Roles
  • Proficient in the use of IT
  • Mainly Microsoft Excel and Word
