About the Role:
As an Estimator, you'll play a pivotal role in our client's company's operational and financial success.

Your main responsibility will be accurately predicting the costs associated with projects related to working at heights and safety equipment.

By preparing competitive and comprehensive quotations efficiently, you'll enable informed financial planning decisions and ensure excellent project execution.

Main Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret customer project plans and specifications, communicating promptly with customers to determine required materials, equipment, and services.
  • Interpret engineer remedial worksheets to determine materials, equipment, services, and costs needed for works completion, maintaining timely communication with customers.
  • Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates, incorporating labour, materials, and other expenses using our client's CRM and quotation system.
  • Coordinate with the workshop and relevant suppliers to obtain pricing and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, workshop, and planning teams to develop profitable quotations aligned with customer demands.
  • Evaluate customer contractual terms and conditions.
  • Monitor cost variations and project specifications, adjusting budgets accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all estimates, ensuring regular updates in CRM.
  • Attend site inspections to identify requirements and upselling opportunities.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly related to Working At Heights and safety equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to propose new solutions to customers to ensure compliance with Working at Height regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, OR Level 5 qualification in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience as an estimator, preferably in an environment dealing with safety equipment and height-related projects.
  • Understanding of financial and project management principles.
  • In-depth working knowledge of current and future Working At Height and associated regulations.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong technical skills, including use of cost estimation, project management, and CAD software.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and technical documents.
