The Engineering Consultant will be responsible for helping to deliver and manage various operational engineering activities to support JLL Property & Asset Management (PAM) deliver 'best in class' service delivery for commercial buildings, their occupiers and the client. This includes an energy compliance fee earning service to PAM and the wider JLL departments.

This role requires a good technical background, excellent time management skills, a positive and proactive approach to completing work, expertise in dealing with large amounts of data to provide valuable insights for other stakeholder groups, confident communications with FMs, surveyors and clients, as well as the potential to develop commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Main contact for EPC service for PAM and wider JLL business, help develop existing clients and actively engage with other JLL departments Hold responsibility for delivering fee targets and coordinating external suppliers to deliver a high quality service Proactively manage billing schedule for EPCs and other PAM engineering products to JLL Research and prepare engineering guidance for the FM and surveyors that covers Engineering Regulations, such as MEES regulations, phase out of refrigerants, heat networks etc Provide adhoc advice and guidance for site managers and surveyors on engineering (MEP and VT) issues with the aim to reduce risk, improve efficiency and cost effectiveness Identify issue that need support from PAM Heading of Engineering Attend and provide input into MEP and VT supplier review meetings, report on progress updates and engineering issues Manage and keep up to date the Engineering Connect website Review queries raised by MEP and VT suppliers in regard to operational contract and delivery issues, resolve or when needed flag to PAM Head of Engineering Assist Head of Engineering to undertake data collection, analysis and reporting of engineering data to help inform PAM of impactful engineering issues/ activities Provide regular group reporting on Engineering Consultant audits, identifying and highlighting risks, escalating low scores and issues arising Effectively liaise and collaborate with other PAM teams including Sustainable Operations, Procurement, H&S, Accounts etc Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in facility management and implement best practices to optimize technical services within commercial property environment

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facility Management, or a related field, or be able to demonstrate equivalent practical experience A minimum of 2 years of experience in facility management, technical services, or a related role, preferably within commercial property Good technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, public health, with preferred additional knowledge of fire, life safety systems and VT equipment Sound experience and high proficiency of working with broad range of software systems (Microsoft Office, CAFM, Energy) to swiftly obtain meaningful results Experience in maintenance and operation contracts (MEP and VT), minor works and ideally some project works Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders Good team working skills and able to work confidently on their own with some direction Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines Ability to manage and prioritise multiple activities and take measured approach to help achieve the best outcomes Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to commercial properties within UK
