The Risk and Best Practice team are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the firms Risk and Compliance function and will provide expert assistance to all members of the team and wider stakeholders.

The Role

Working in close collaboration with the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will:
Act as first point of contact for queries in relation to the department's policies and procedures
Taking the decision to escalate complex matters where appropriate
Review and respond to first line GDPR data breaches
Liaise with various departments and staff across the firm
Review and respond to AML queries
Escalate complex queries to the AML Manager where appropriate
Provide an elevated level of top tier guidance on client on-boarding queries
Maintain and generate reports on the department's risk and compliance registers,
Assist with the identification of key policies, documents, or correspondence
Support the annual SRA Practising Certificate Renewals and assisting HR with provision of risk data
Manage the Risk and Best Practice team's diaries and ensure key dates and deadlines are recorded.

About you
Previous experience within a legally regulated environment
Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet strict deadlines
Some knowledge of risk and compliance matters relevant to a law firm, including, anti-money laundering and/or data protection
An effective communicator who can work well as part of a busy and successful team
