A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Officer to join the NHS SBS Commercial team


This is an ideal opportunity for a Legal or Business Graduate who has already taken their first steps in employment or someone with relative experience looking for an opportunity to develop their career in commercial, finance, risk or projects business areas.


After a period of initial office based training and support this will evolve in to a hybrid role, working from home with 1 or 2 days a week in our brand new modern Leeds office.

Travel to other sites will occasionally required.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the daytoday management of customer contracts
  • Providing a consultancy and act as first point of contact for support and commercial advice and contractual queries
  • Drafting and processing of contractual agreements including contract change notes and works orders
  • Supervise the operation and accuracy of financial controls, reporting and billing
  • Identify commercial risks and mitigations
  • Ensuring that governance and commercial procedures are adhered to

What you'll bring:

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to customers and colleagues at all levels of the organisation
  • A positive and driven approach to problem solving
  • A passion and motivation for continuous improvement
  • Strong planning and organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and flex workload to meet business requirements
  • Excellent MS Office skills (particularly MS Excel and MS Word)

It would be great if you had:

  • Previous experience of contract/legal drafting would be an advantage
