Health and Safety Administrator

About the Role.


This is a fantastic role that places as you as part of a two-person administration team ensuring audits, inspections and other compliance functions run smoothly and are carried out to defined schedules.

You may also be required to work across multiple functions of the business depending on the most critical need.

Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing.


Working closely with our amazing (and large) retail team, you will ensure that safety equipment and other items are supplied to our retail stores as and when required.

The duties of this role are varied but the main points to know are:

  • Responsible for the logging and tracking of accident information, near miss / concern reports, authoritative visits and other data as part of the company safety management system.
  • Maintenance of the company safety management system using Microsoft Teams to provide up to date and efficient information as and when required.
  • Monitoring of the company Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work to ensure that compliance and review strategies are adhered to.
  • Recording of Environmental Health Officer visits along with interpretation of reports to store managers and the following up of corrective actions
  • Logging and tracking of absences, holiday requests, expenses and time planning for the Health and Safety Team

A Few Things About You.
The ideal person would have a background in administration and be comfortable working on their own initiative.

The role by nature requires a proactive and positive attitude as well as the ability to look for solutions as part of a team effort.


Some other key points are:

  • Be keen to learn and develop skills through a varied and diverse role.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office would be essential.
  • Experience of auditing systems, Risk Assessments, COSHH, ISO 45001 and Safety Management Systems would be desirable.
  • Use of Microsoft Teams would be an advantage.
