Devon, United Kingdom Devon County Council Full time

Our School
************* is a girls' 11 to 18 selective Single Academy Trust (SAT) in Torquay, Devon. Our status as a SAT means that we have the freedom to implement a curriculum intent which focusses on the whole child: to equip students for a future in which they have the academic qualifications, character skills and self-esteem to make decisions that lead to long, happy and content lives. Our school is founded on our core values which apply to our whole community: equality; open minded; kindness; collaboration; and well-being. In ************* 2023, we achieved Ofsted 'Outstanding' and we are also 2nd in Devon and 6th in the South West for academic results. The school has a long history of success with committed students, staff and trustees. If you were to join us, you would become part of an outstanding school which values every individual within our school community.

The Role
An exciting opportunity is available to join our team as a Senior Caretaker who will be a key member of staff within our Site Team. The post holder will support the ongoing maintenance and refurbishment of the school site, as well as undertaking security and health and safety tasks to ensure our site is safe and secure. This a permanent role, working all year round (with annual leave entitlement). The role is 37 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday 10:30am to 6:30pm, and Fridays 11:00am to 6:30pm (including a daily 30 minute unpaid break). The post holder will be required to be available for out of working hours unforeseen emergencies.

If you would like to arrange a visit to the school, please contact Sarah Forster, Headteacher, via Louise Rumbelow, Headteacher's PA (*****) or if you have any questions in relation to the role or the recruitment process, please contact Abigail Henwood, HR Manager (*****).

************* is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity with children. As part of our safer recruitment procedures, references will be taken up for all shortlisted applicants, and online searches will be completed. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service and other employment checks. ************* promotes equal opportunities for staff and students.

To Apply
Please complete the Tes application form, including your supporting statement detailing why you are the best candidate for this role, along with describing your skills and experience.

The deadline for applications is 9:00am on Thursday 13th June 2024. Shortlisting and interviews will follow shortly after this date.

Thank you for your interest in this role and our school. We look forward to hearing from you
