Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Devon County Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the school's premises, including the school kitchen and swimming pool.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the school's premises, including the school kitchen and swimming pool
- Work in co-operation with the Senior Leadership Team, Finance Advisor, Health & Safety governor and Caretaker to ensure that all legal requirements relating to Premises and Health & Safety are adhered to
- Organise lettings of the school buildings and premises
- Manage the premises and site maintenance budget
- Line manage the site and office team, including the caretaker, kitchen manager and cleaners
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a premises related environment
- Experience of Health & Safety Management of a business
- Experience of conducting a range of risk assessments
- Strong leadership, management, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and to coordinate with staff members and external contractors
- Proactive, detail-orientated and committed to the school's vision and values
