We are seeking an experienced Store Operative to join our team in Barton Under Needwood as we support our customers through maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities on existing trains.

Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 16.30pm, and 8am to 1.00pm Fridays, 37 hours per week

Contract Type:
Permanent, Full-Time

How will you make a difference?


Within the stores department you will work alongside key individuals such as Customer Service, Expeditors and the Planning & Logistics Manager.

You will be responsible for all store operations and administrative tasks associated with this as it pertains to the requirements of the operations.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Stock movements/processing transactions, carried out efficiently both physically and within bespoke system, Oracle.
  • Audit inventory in line with company policy, including audits.
  • Visual checks and counts of goods to ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Goods shipped to customers on the date required.
  • Control of customer assets both dirty and overhauled, via documentation, physically and systematically.
  • Loading and offloading vehicles
Support in the preparation of the workflow plan on ad hoc basis

  • Raising and reconciling purchase orders on the computerised system;
What do we want to know about you?

  • Experience in a warehouse environment advantageous
  • Computer literate
  • Hold a valid current full Irish driving license.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's (including Maths and English) pass grade or equivalent qualification
  • FLT License advantageous
  • Standard numeracy and literacy
  • Good communication skills
