Our client is a charity-based social enterprise with the value of putting "people first" and changing society for the better.

Their aim is to tackle social problems, improve people's life chances, support communities and help the environment. They are seekingfor an experienced Housing Support Worker that will be office based to support their vision in Derby.

What the role involves:

  • Work with people offering supported opportunities for them to improve their quality of
life, develop their skills and make decisions about their future

  • Liaise with referral teams/agencies regarding vacancies and referrals
  • To provide practical support and guidance with their housing benefits
  • Ensuring residence live in a secure and safe home environment
  • Ensuring all means of paperwork is submitted on a timely manner
  • Creating pathways for new opportunities for the community and achieving the aims of the people's welfare and wellbeing.
  • Undertaking assessments and reviewing housing and support needs and identifying and coordinating internal and external services and referrals
  • Dealing with complaints and complying with the terms and conditions of the company's policy and procedures.

You must have:

  • Must have a minimum of 6 months experience in housing and mental health
  • DBS essential, on the update service (desirable)
