Support Worker - Children and Young People residential setting

Salaries starting from £11.62ph for unqualified + sleep ins (£40 per sleep in)

Role


Based within a residential setting, you will be working with children and young people with complex care needs and/or emotional and challenging behaviour.

You will be involved with school runs, appointments, day to day care of the children ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.

You will get involved in activities as well as upkeep of the home including meal preparation.

You will provide advice, assistance and support to young people, safeguarding their welfare at all times. Ensuring that the practical, physical and emotional needs are met at all times.

You would work within a team to achieve the aims and objectives of the home. Attending young people's meeting and contributing accordingly

Shift Patterns

2 long days then 4 days off_

You will be expected to complete Sleep in's as part of the shift patterns.

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK no sponsorship available
  • Full UK driving license + business insurance (mileage paid)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A warm, compassionate, nurturing, and caring nature
  • Ability to work with understanding, tact and patience
