The Organisation


Global Family Care Network is a non-profit organisation that works to prevent and intercept child trafficking and systematic abuse and provide long-term and family-based care for children who are victims of commercial sexual exploitation and other forms of abuse.

Our mission is to preserve the family and protect at-risk children with the assistance of community organisations, volunteer caregivers, and donors.

Our vision is to help as many children as possible who are victims of poverty, exploitation, and abuse by modelling and sharing principled methods that represent the best possible outcome.

Collectively, our model projects are active in nine countries with 304 global team members.

We have reported the following outcomes over the last ten years:

166,447 participating in prevention clubs being educated about trafficking and child sexual abuse and empowered to protect themselvesn1,301 victims of trafficking and exploitation cared for in our sheltersn1,582 children restored back home with their families

Global Family UK is focused on:
The training and resourcing of individuals working in the prevention of human trafficking, rehabilitation and reintegration of victims of commercial sexual exploitation, and community-based approaches to protect children and preserve familiesnResearch and development of innovative, best practice, and alternative interventions to combating human trafficking and other forms of modern-day slavery, community-based development and family-based services for children who lack support of their biological family and who have been abandoned and/or systematically abusednMonitoring and evaluation of Global Family's global programs (currently active in nine countries)

Overview

The

UK Lead Coordinator

will lead and manage activities of St. James Research Centre (SJRC) located in Falkirk, Scotland.

He/she will oversee all SJRC staff, report to the Board of Directors of Global Family Care Network (SCIO), will ensure the day-to-day operation of the centre .

Responsibilities


Represent the organisation in the community and with local organisationsnFoster and cultivate local partnerships with respect to prevention and mentoring/aftercare activities.

nDevelop and cultivate relationships with the business and community to encourage support and advocacy for children's rightsnManage communication for the Executive DirectornFulfil all responsibilities as determined by the Executive Director and Board of DirectorsnCoordinate and lead quarterly budgeting reviews and financial projection activitiesnCoordinate quarterly Board of Director meetingsnPlan, prepare, and analyse budgets for the Board of Directors and appraise them of major details, policy needs and other major projects and developments on an ongoing basisnEnsure that SJRC's courses and academic provisions are being provided at high academic standardsnAct as the primary spokesperson for the organisation and seek opportunities to advance its name, mission, needs, successes, and overall objectives
