As well as this you will also receive:

The role

Working within the Procurement and Supplier Management team, the role holder will be working on a range of indirect categories, supporting the business in its programme of building a proactive and professional approach to sourcing and supplier management.

The function is relatively new and operates a devolved model, in the process of building processes and working practices to align with the recently launched Procurement and Supplier Management policy.

The role holder will support the wider Procurement & Supplier Management team through providing:

  • data analysis,
- market research/testing,
- contract reviews/negotiation (depending on experience),
- report production (such as spend or risk & compliance),
- management of our recently purchased, market leading, supplier management system,
- advice and guidance to business stakeholders at all levels
- procurement & supplier management activities on their own category(s) of spend

About you

Experience of or ability to interpret contractual clauses and associated risks would also be beneficial (especially so if it has been gained within financial services).

Knowledge:
General commercial acumen a must. Understanding of the advantages/disadvantages of outsourcing would be beneficial, as well as interpretation of supplier performance reporting.
