Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and driven Commercial Manager to enhance our team. The successful candidate will oversee the commercial dimensions of projects, ensuring financial success and fostering robust client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Planning: Formulate and execute project commercial plans, focusing on cost control, pricing strategies, and profitability assessments.
  • Contract Oversight: Manage contract negotiations and administration, ensuring alignment with legal and contractual obligations.
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee project financials, track expenditures, and initiate cost-reduction strategies.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their requirements and providing customized solutions.
  • Risk Management: Recognize and mitigate potential commercial risks and issues.
  • Procurement Management: Direct procurement processes, including supplier negotiations and selection.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and direct a team of commercial specialists.
  • Reporting Duties: Generate and present regular financial and commercial updates to senior leadership.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within the civil engineering and construction sector.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management abilities.
  • Proficient leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Familiarity with project management software and financial analysis tools.
  • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Certifications such as CIPS or RICS are beneficial.
