The Advocate Group is partnered with the fastest-growing drinks brand globally, searching for a Data & Privacy expert to join their in-house legal team.
This exciting opportunity has great career prospects, as this international brand grows year-on-year and builds a closer relationship with the fan base.
We are looking for a personable legal professional, to work with various stakeholders in both the UK & US teams advising on GDPR, compliance, regulatory and anti-trust.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in the legal department, where a strong, likable personality, positive attitude and collaborative working style are valued, alongside legal acumen.
Responsibilities :
nCounseling and providing strategic advice regarding the processing of personal information under EMEA wide data protection laws.nWorking with the Global Privacy Counsel, update and maintain compliance of the business' internal and external privacy policies with general best privacy practices.nAdvise the on collection, use, sharing, and disposal of personal data in connection with consumer promotions and customer relationship management.nStrategize with the company's cross-functional teams with respect to data classification, data retention, and information governance.
Requirements:
nMinimum three years of experience at a firm, in-house or regulatory agency focused on issues related to privacy, data protection, and information management.nExpert knowledge of privacy and data protection laws and practices, including General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").nStrong interpersonal, analytical, business, negotiation and communication skills; the ability to absorb complex legal issues and communicate these issues in a simple and understandable manner to a non legal audience.nEmbrace teamwork and work closely on a day to day basis with other members of the business' tight-knit and non-hierarchal legal team.
