Wirral's early Childhood service is a forward-thinking team with an innovative approach that has received both national and local recognition.

Business Support Officers provide effective administrative support for the service including the use of new technology and work collectively with colleagues across Children's Services to ensure we are making Wirral great for children, young people and their families.


In the role, you will support parents and children to access the Children's centre, helping to create a warm and welcoming environment.

You will also provide a first point of contact for professionals accessing the centre and will coordinate services on site ensuring that the day to day running of the centre is smooth.

You will provide professional administrative support and maintain good relationships with teams across service areas, key stakeholders.

You will need to be qualified in literacy and numeracy to GCSE or equivalent level and have experience of working in a children and family or community-based environment.

Your experience should include the use of Microsoft packages, working with databases and information systems alongside working to confidentiality processes and policy.

You will need a track record of managing multiple tasks and prioritising work to meet deadlines.
