Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the receiving and inspection of incoming goods ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensure all stock is checked and booked in correctly.
  • Ensure stock is correctly put away into designated areas by yourself and the team.
  • Record and report damages in line with company procedures.
  • Oversee the efficient and organised storage of inventory, optimising space utilisation and ensuring timely availability of goods for distribution.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic inventory management systems and manual processes as needed.
  • Implement and enforce procedures for inventory control, including cycle counts, stock rotation, and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to coordinate inbound shipments and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Train and mentor warehouse staff on proper receiving, handling, and storage procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies in all goods in operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in goods in operations.
  • Hands on support to unload shipping containers and receive stock. This includes handballing, building pallets of stock and driving the forklift.
  • Attendance at the annual company stock take.
  • Provide support to other areas of the warehouse operation if and when required. This includes picking, packing, inventory control and general operative work.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution environment, preferably in goods in or receiving.
  • IOSH Managing safely certification is preferred but not essential as full training can be given.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Excellent organisational and problemsolving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
