**Reporting to**:Operations Manager - Warehouse & Parts
**Salary**: £30,000 per annum
**Hours**: 42.5 per week: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and coordinate the receiving and inspection of incoming goods ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Ensure all stock is checked and booked in correctly.
- Ensure stock is correctly put away into designated areas by yourself and the team.
- Record and report damages in line with company procedures.
- Oversee the efficient and organised storage of inventory, optimising space utilisation and ensuring timely availability of goods for distribution.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic inventory management systems and manual processes as needed.
- Implement and enforce procedures for inventory control, including cycle counts, stock rotation, and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to coordinate inbound shipments and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on proper receiving, handling, and storage procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies in all goods in operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in goods in operations.
- Hands on support to unload shipping containers and receive stock. This includes hand-balling, building pallets of stock and driving the forklift.
- Attendance at the annual company stock take.
- Provide support to other areas of the warehouse operation if and when required. This includes picking, packing, inventory control and general operative work.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution environment, preferably in goods in or receiving.
- IOSH Managing safely certification is preferred but not essential as full training can be given.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
