Swanway is home to individuals with diverse care needs, such as learning disabilities, autism, mental health support requirements, and physical disabilities. With 12 apartments and shared outdoor spaces, your role as a Support Worker will involve engaging these individuals in a variety of enjoyable activities, from discos to swimming to cinema outings.
The ideal candidate will excel in positive communication, show great engagement skills, and have a genuine interest in the well-being of those we support.
Support Worker Duties:
- Providing personal care to service users
- Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- Medication administration
- Supporting individuals in activities around Gateshead
- Building warm relationships with service users
- General administrative and housing management tasks
No prior experience is necessary, as long as you exhibit a 'can-do' attitude, person-centered values, and dedication. Whether you are an experienced care worker, a recent graduate, or someone seeking a fulfilling career in social care, this role is for you
Full training is provided, and you can even work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
