Job Title:
Personal Assistant


Hours per week: 4 hours per week, to be worked in term time on a Saturday or a Sunday after 10am.

The hours will be agreed mutually in advance depending on what activity may be chosen each week. During college holidays, the day may be changed to a week day.

Location:
Mochdre, Conwy

Rate of pay:
£10.50 per hour rising to £11 after 2 months probation

We are looking for a personal assistant for my 19 year old daughter.

Task and duties, to include any or all of the following:
To take my daughter out of the house to help her to be independent away from her family.

To take her to different places each week such as the shops, or for a walk. Places will vary each week.

To support with toileting when out and about.

To be fully alert when out and about as she can become frightened in some situations such as dogs.


Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed.

Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed.

Personal Specification

A car user would be preferable.

Someone with knowledge or experience of autism.

Establish a professional standard of care which should be maintained at all times.

Respect and safeguard the goods and property of the family.

Respect the privacy of the family and uphold confidentiality at all times.

Be trustworthy and kind

Be punctual, reliable and have some degree of flexibility, with a view to possibly undertaking overtime.

Be enthusiastic and be open to new experiences.

Bear in mind that the role is one of empowerment for the service user.
