An exciting opportunity has become available to be based within our homeless and housing options service as a Rough Sleepers coordinator.

The rough sleeper's coordinator will lead on Burys Rough sleepers' outreach service

The Post holder will be expected to manage the outreach service to identify, engage and assess people sleeping rough. The Post holder will coordinate ABEN, emergency accommodation placements and other government initiatives.


The post holder will also be expected to manage two outreach workers who provide support to clients who are rough sleeping, those at risk and provide them with safe accommodation.

This includes outreach to sleep site, drop ins and one to one support.


The post holder will Liaise and maintain positive relationships with housing providers, custody, probation, and other key partners to work together to meet needs of rough sleepers.


To line manage outreach workers and support them to engage rough sleepers and those at risk and ensure that all clients receive the right wrap around support.

Especially the high complex entrenched rough sleepers.


To lead on established local authority meetings and processes to help ensure that rough sleepers and those at risk are placed or released into safe accommodation.

These include prison pathways and rough sleepers' task and target meetings

To be part of the GMCA meetings with other local authorities.
