  • Being responsible for the procurement of materials, parts & components from UK and international suppliers
  • Manage purchasing functions to ensure all materials are delivered at lowest cost
  • Negotiating with suppliers
  • Review, reconcile and approve supplier invoices in a timely manner supporting the accounts department.
  • Provide support to the Production Manager to ensure availability of materials, supplies & all purchased items.
  • Support other departments to ensure special materials are available to meet schedules.
  • Purchase nonproduction goods as and when required.
  • Reporting into the Purchase Manager and Managing Director
**Key Skills:
- *
  • Essential that you have worked within a Purchasing / Procurement role previously ideally within the manufacturing sector.
  • You will hold a CIPS qualification.
  • Fully conversant in SAP and MRP systems
  • Be able to evidence success in the procurement of volume requirements for the manufacturing process.
  • Previous experience of buying procedures and processes is essential.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • IT literate with strong MS Excel skills.
  • If you have experience in tender preparation, management, and evaluation this would be advantageous.
  • Be commercially minded, analytical with a focused approach.
