Group Claims is seeking a Data Product Owner / Data assurance Business Analyst to join their Data and Insight function.

This plays a key role in delivering a qualitative and complete set of data to Local Claims units and regional and Group Functions (inside and outside Claims) through its Group Claims Data systems.


Working in partnership with our business stakeholders the Data product owner ensures we put data and data quality at the very heart of our operating model.

As a data product owner, you will closely work with business stakeholders (data consumers within and outside Group Claims), Group Claims Performance & Insight Lead, Group Claims Data System Lead and GTO to:

  • Define the vision/business roadmap of your data product(s)
  • Define priorities among the different requests
  • Define and set the standards and quality criteria for data in accordance with the data requirements of the Function
  • Make sure the data product is functionally correctly working and correctly used by the users
  • Ensure that information within their data products is governed and in line with our risk policies and assurance

What will you be doing?
Define the vision/business roadmap of your data product(s), meaning:

  • Collect inputs from key stakeholders (requirements, pain points but also expected benefit & business value)
  • Support the budget process by providing highlevel requirements for your data product(s) for the next year(s)

Define priorities among the different requests, meaning:

  • Asses the change and service requests, confirm and/or define how it will bring value and how it will answer business problems
  • Make sure the development team has the visibility of the priorities and working on them
  • When relevant, group requests to incrementally create value
Make sure the data product is functionally working as expected and correctly used by the users:

  • Make sure systems work as expected from a business point of view
  • Make sure business validation (i.e. business and functional tests passed) of the delivered or upgraded features is done and give the final signoff
  • Ensure users know how to use your data product
Define and set the standards and quality criteria for data by the data requirements of the Function:

  • Monitor data quality inside your data product as per the data assurance framework and take action if it is not at the required quality level
  • Work on a data quality roadmap in collaboration with the Business and the GTO
  • Ensure that information within their data products is governed and in line with our risk policies and assurance

What are we looking for?

  • Significant Business Analysis experience gained within the insurance sector and/or in the data sector
  • Broad experience and understanding of business and data analysis within a complex endtoend architecture
  • Experience in Data Governance and Data assurance role
  • Proven experience in data management, risk, and controls within a financial services organization, at a senior level
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including facilitation, negotiation, collaboration, influencing and communication
  • Proven resilience to project challenges and adjustments to direction and scope a positive and open approach to life with a delivery mindset

Preferred:

  • Requirement Analysis
  • Experience in agile methodologies such as SCRUM
