About the School and Role:
We are currently recruiting for a special needs school located in Shrewsbury, who are looking for a learning support assistant to work with young children.
You will be working with children that possess a wide range of needs including, SLD, ASD, ADHD, and Complex Needs.
Any additional qualifications, such as, PECS, Team teach, or Makaton would be useful but not necessary.
This is a full-time on-going position with the hope that this teaching assistant stays on in the school in a permanent position.
An up-to-date enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service. This can be done for you if you do not have a current one.Requirements:
- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
- SEND schoolbased Experience
- ASD, SLD, PMLD, SPLD, Down Syndrome experience
- Child and Adult Workforce DBS
- Available Immediately
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Recent schoolbased references
Valid Photo ID
- Driving Licence or passport
- Full DBS registered on the update service
