Meet our service user

Our service user is a young man in his 20's who currently lives with his loving family in Sutton-in-Ashfield, he requires support with his complex care needs throughout the day and night on a 2:1 basis.

Our client is a vibrant and inspiring individual who enjoys engaging in various activities and being part of the community. He thrives on meaningful connections and values the companionship of those who support him.

He loves interacting and spending quality time with his friends, family, and care team, enjoying music and exploring his sensory textured objects.

Swimming, being out in the sunshine, and venturing out in his adapted vehicle are some of his favourite activities to share with his care team.

Throughout the day you will be required to provide support with his personal care, moving and handling requirements, attending to his clinical care needs, and supporting him to enjoy his hobbies and interests.

Throughout the night you will provide support with his personal care, moving and handling, making close observations, and attending to his clinical care needs when required. You will provide a peaceful environment to promote a restful night's sleep offering reassurance and comfort when needed.

Our service user has an older sister who also lives in the family home, she has her own care team and once fully trained you may work across both service users.

He is non-verbal and does communicate using gestures and facial expressions, it is important for you to become familiar with his methods of communication to ensure his needs and wants are met. Patience and understanding are key qualities for this position.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you have experience with the following:

3 months previous care experience Medication Administration Personal Care Moving and Handling

Experience working with the following clinical needs is desirable, however is not essential to be considered for this role:

We have the following shifts available

Full Time & Part Time Available: 3 – 5 shifts per week Days: 9am – 3pm, 3pm – 9pm & 9am – 9pm Nights: 9pm – 9am Alternate weekends are needed for this position

Weekdays: £13.00 per hour (£156 approx. per 12-hour shift)

Weeknights: £14.50 per hour (£174 approx. per 12-hour shift)

Weekends: £15.00 per hour (£180 approx. per 12-hour shift

Bank Holidays: £16.00 per hour (£192 approx. per 12-hour shift)
