White City House


Located in the former BBC headquarters in West London, White City House features 1960s-style interiors, a state-of-the-art gym and rooftop pool and bar.

The club features a screening room, a Cecconi's Northern Italian restaurant, our Japanese restaurant Pen Yen with cabaret performances, plus daily music and event programming.

In addition, we have 45 bedrooms housed within the original Grade-II listed Helios building.

The Role
At Soho House, the Receiver handles and processes all food and beverage stock that is ordered for the house.

As the Receiver, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall cleanliness of storage areas, back landing, dry storage, wash area, and walk ins, chef storage, freight elevator, and garbage room.

A successful Receiver will maintain an efficient flow of goods, which involves documenting, storing, locating, and distributing stock for the departments.

Responsibilities also include the inspection and sort shipments while keeping up with invoices to ensure orders are correct.

Main Duties

  • Receive all perishable and nonperishable beverage and food orders and verify plus document the quantity received of all produce, fruits, dry goods, liqueur, chemicals, and supplies.
  • Provide support to vendors and management in the receiving of all other supplies as needed
  • Check received merchandise (quality and quantity) and reject unacceptable merchandise
  • Distribute merchandise accordingly to food safety rules and storage orders.
  • Ensure the smooth working of FIFO of walk ins and freezer
  • Conduct inventory as advised and communicate results to management
  • Daily checklist with overnight porter
  • Wipe down and sanitize all areas of bar storage to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the storage of consumable items
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

What we are looking for...

  • 1+ years' relative experience with a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, serviceoriented operation.
  • Ability to read and write English, ability to read labels and following safety instructions.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
