More than a 100,000 people have sold through us, we rehome millions of items every year and still somehow it still feels like we are just getting started.

We've raised VC investment from Dutch Founders Fund and Airbridge Equity Partners, including from the founders of WeTransfer, Just Eat Benelux and TreatWell.

About the role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead to join us on a journey to become the #1 brand globally that buys and sells people's old and unwanted vintage items.

Over the past 7 years we have proven the demand for a service that enables people to sell a wide range of disparate items in one go.


We've fast become one of the UK's largest suppliers of old and interesting items, and now have our sights set firmly on international expansion.

The Tech Lead will build and lead our C# team and have a strong background in software development, team management, and a deep understanding of the C# programming language.


The Tech Lead will be responsible for creating and executing on the team's technical vision, setting development standards and best practices, and working with the team to deliver high-quality software products.

This is a hybrid working role - We don't mind where you are based within the UK.

However, there will be an expectation to travel to Leeds and spend time at HQ especially for the first few months as you learn the business.


Roles & Responsibilities:

Core priority:

  • Lead the development of a technology and data infrastructure that enables international expansion, service diversification and sales channel ownership.

Additional:

  • Recruit, hire, and train a team of developers, QA engineers, and technical support staff, balancing outsourced resources with inhouse across geographies
  • Set technical direction and vision for the team in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Strike a balance between inhouse development and off the shelf solutions.
  • Design and implement software architecture and infrastructure.
  • Define and enforce development standards and best practices for code quality, documentation, and testing.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure highquality code is being produced.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to prioritise and deliver features in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to optimise team productivity and efficiency.
  • Remain uptodate with new technologies and industry trends, ensuring the team stays current with best practices and the latest development tools.

You will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software development with a focus on C#.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, managing a team of developers.
  • Proven ability to build and manage successful software development teams.
  • Strong technical skills in C#,.NET framework, and related technologies.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Git, and continuous integration.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
