We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join us on a 9-month FTC to lead on a large-scale technology refurbishment project.

With a primary focus on infrastructure reconfiguration across three London locations, you will also play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation of our new Audio Visual solution.

To be successful in this role you will be proactive and detail-oriented with a strong background in Technology Project Management.

You'll join a dynamic and collaborative team and be the lead in making a significant impact on our organisation's technology landscape by contributing to the success of our building consolidation efforts.

Reporting to our Director of Cloud, Infrastructure, Infrastructure & Service Delivery, this role will be an integral part of our Technology division.

About Technology

After finalising our technology, data and process merger recently, our Technology division are now moving forward with our technology strategy to further enable the organisation to bring amazing voices to all.

Our Technology division is moving forward into its next stage of Cloud adoption; At Penguin, our Technology division thrives on collaboration, support and building strong relationships across the business.

Collaborate with the Infrastructure Networks team to implement Wifi Solutions and Structured Networs for our Swing Space, ensuring seamless connectivity and network support for the project.

Support core network activities, such as structured cabling, computer room enablement and WiFi adjustments within our main London location, in close coordination with the Infrastructure Networks team.

Work alongside our Infrastructure Designers to ensure timely creation of appropriate designs that align with the building move activity, contributing to the smooth transition of technology infrastructure.

Partner with the Head of Technology Support and Infrastructure Team to oversee the selection, testing, purchasing, scheduling, and installation of our new Audio Visual Solutions in our main London location, enhancing the technological capabilities of our workspace.

Collaborate closely with the Facilities-led Project Management function, ensuring seamless coordination and integration of technology and facility-related activities.

Work collaboratively with the Director of Cloud, Infrastructure, Security & Service Delivery to ensure the timely and accurate technical enablement of our "Penguin On The Move" programme, including reporting, budgeting, and risk management, contributing to the overall success of the project.

Showcase experience in physical move-related technology projects, such as office relocations, building consolidations, and office refurbishments, demonstrating the ability to manage complex technology transitions.

Possess Prince2 project management skills and proven experience ensuring the successful application of project management methodologies.

Exhibit a strong understanding of technology principles, particularly in Network Infrastructure and Audio Visual systems, to effectively contribute to the technological aspects of the project.

Engage in effective communication with senior leadership team members, Technology Department Heads and Engineers, utilising high-level written and verbal communication skills to facilitate collaboration and understanding across various stakeholders.

Demonstrate excellent task management skills, ensuring efficient and organised execution of project deliverables.
Display exceptional risk management skills by providing effective risk mitigation options to ensure project success.
Comfortably engage with vendors and suppliers, fostering productive and collaborative relationships to support project objectives.

Maintain composure under pressure, exhibiting an approachable, empathetic, and responsive demeanour throughout the project duration, fostering a supportive and resilient team environment.

Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills, focusing on outcomes and early communication of solutions to effectively address project challenges.
Exhibit a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, focusing on delivering outcomes and effective communication to drive project success.
Our approach to hybrid working:
We're experimenting with a hybrid way of working that suits the needs of each team.
For this role we expect that you'll be in the office in London between 2-3 times a week.

Salary:
circa £65,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits. We will be happy to discuss compensation level in more detail over the course of the interview process.
