An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Emotional Wellbeing Family Hubs nurse to join the 0-19 team in St Helens.The Emotional Wellbeing Post aims to provide additional targeted emotional wellbeing support from the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme, directly contributing to the St Helens Family Hubs offer. The project aims to provide support to children and young people alongside their families, via Family Hubs, on a range of identified issues that are impacting on their mental health and wellbeing.

The post requires good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be adaptable, reliable, compassionate, and approachable. You will need to have strong interpersonal and leadership skills, be flexible solution focused and support service development.

You will also be involved in a range of public health activities within a geographical area, to include individuals, groups, and communities.

As a key stakeholder in the protection of children, you will be required to work collaboratively with other agencies to meet their needs. You will have a good knowledge of the components of Clinical Governance, Risk Management, Audits, and relevant Professional Codes.

Main duties of the job The successful candidate will work as part of the Enhanced 0-19 service, providing targeted emotional wellbeing support from the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme (up to 25 with SEND), directly contributing to the St Helens Family Hubs offer.This will include supporting children who are between 24 months and 5 years old and their parents/carers. Delivering packages of care, to empower children and families to develop strategies to support their developmental, physical and emotional health needs. These families will have complex circumstances and packages of care will need to be individualised and reassessed during the course of intervention. The role aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and supporting families to have a better understanding of their child.
