Communications & Marketing Officer

Working to support the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer, you'll produce and co-ordinate visual and written content across print and digital channels.


Hours:19 hours per week

Contract duration:
Fixed term contract for 12 months


Your contractual location will be Dudmaston, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree a hybrid working arrangement which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.

The role will also involve travel to properties or regional hubs. This will be discussed further at interview stage.

Working with different teams across four key properties, you'll get the chance to uncover a mix of stories about our conservation work indoors and out.

As part of the National Trust's Land Outdoors and Nature strategy, you'll work alongside the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer to deliver on communications plans to support three major landscape-scale projects across the patch.

The portfolio is a diverse portfolio, with an exciting mix of countryside, woodland, farmland, gardens and historic houses. Properties within the portfolio include Dudmaston, Carding Mill Valley, Kinver Edge and the Rock Houses and Benthall Hall.

What you'll be doing:
It's an exciting time to join the South Shropshire and Kinver Edge portfolio. We're playing a big part in the National Trust's Land, Outdoors and Nature strategy.

You'll be working with property and project teams to share stories about our conservation work with visitors, volunteers and stakeholders.


Working with the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer, you'll promote our places through on and offline channels to drive visits and event attendance.

You'll also be responsible for updating property websites to ensure they clearly communicate our offer. Using social media, you'll schedule and publish engaging content to inspire and attract existing and new audiences.
