Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our Workplace Services team and lead EHS management of site and field operations in the UK & Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of EHS professionals to ensure compliance with national Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, including DSEAR and Environmental Permitting Regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to site personnel on EHS matters, promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in line with Agilent's EHS Management System, applicable regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support managers in completion of risk assessments, managing hazardous substances, and implementing appropriate control measures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a physical science or engineering degree together with a relevant professional occupational safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma or GradIOSH/CMIOSH).
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a chemical production or ATEX process environment.
- In-depth knowledge of DSEAR, COSHH, Environmental Permitting Regulations, and other relevant environmental, health, and safety legislation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
