Job summary

To work collaboratively with the Team leader and clinical lead to provide clinical leadership and line management for their respective team. To assist in the management of the integrated CAMHS/ CPS within Fylde and Wyre CAMHS/CPS and function as a practicing clinician within the service To ensure that integrated CAMHS/CPS offers a team approach in the delivery of high quality service provision of assessments and intervention in order to meet the needs of those young people presenting with emotional/psychological and/or mental health difficulties and their families To supervise and evaluate the multi-disciplinary team in conjunction with helpful and respectful services to young people and their families To develop and maintain robust partnership working arrangements between the CAMHS/ CP and community partners and other key stakeholders The post holder will assist with the responsibilities for all aspects of the service To assist with the responsibility for the day to day management of the team ensuring a responsive and effective service is offered 24 hours per day 7 days per week To assist in clinical and caseload supervision and professional development planning for the staff team.

To manage a reduced clinical caseload and provide direct clinical interventions/ assessments that are high quality, timely and accessible.

Main duties of the job

Carry out assessment of children's mental health and emotional well-being. This could include risk assessments related to self harm and suicidal ideation as part of the duty function. Carry a small caseload Provide short-term interventions and support for children experiencing mental health difficulties. Participate in group work programmes with children relating to issues associated with emotional well being and mental health difficulties. Provide Supervision and training to the clinical team Proactively remain up to date and professionally accountable to the code of conduct of either the NMC or other relevant professional body for disciplines outside of nursing.

First level professional qualification or equivalent Information technology skills sufficient to the undertaking of the post

A wealth of experience in the field of working with young people with mental health issues Managing own workload and able to work autonomously Working within a team and /or multi-agency arenas.

Knowledge

Essential

An ability to think systemically and holistically. Specific skills and knowledge in evidence based assessments and therapeutic interventions relevant to this client group (including risk assessments). Demonstrate awareness of reflective and evidence based practice.

Special Requirements

Essential

An ability to be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of the developing service. An ability to travel to and from various places of work to meet the needs of the post Awareness of how to cope with stressful and demanding situations.
